Budapest Treaty on Deposit of Microorganisms

The Budapest Treaty on the Deposit of Microorganisms is an agreement on the International Recognition of the Deposit of Microorganisms for the Purposes of Patent Procedure. The agreement also foresees the creation of the International Deposit Authority, bodies called upon to accept Microorganisms for the Purposes of Patent and whose deposit is made to understand all member countries of the Treaty.
In Spain there is an International Depository Authority. It is located at the University of Valencia, at the headquarters of the Spanish Type Culture Colection, and supports the deposit of certain types of microorganisms, since not all International Authorities allowed all kinds of microorganisms.
